Kurzeka opts for USC

Agoura High's Peter Kurzeka, the 2007 Marmonte League boys' water polo Player of the Year, has accepted an offer to attend USC in the fall.

Kurzeka led the Chargers to a CIF-Southern Section Division IV championship in November.

Kurzeka's former head coach, Dustin Litvak, was excited to see his former player become a Trojan.

"I'd been talking with him on the phone for a few days, and I knew it was between USC and UCLA," Litvak said. "I told him that I didn't think he could go wrong either way. They both have good academic programs and good water polo teams.

"Obviously, it depends on how he fits into their system, but I see Peter making an immediate impact for USC."
