Women's golf club open to new members

The Career Women's Golf Association will meet at 6 p.m. Mon., Feb. 25 at BJ's Grill, 6424 Canoga Ave., Woodland Hills.

The club meets on the last Monday of each month.

The club is composed of 55 women of all ages and abilities who share a passion for golf and enjoy playing tournaments and social games together.

The association has 10 tournaments per year which are open to all members. Members play at many different golf courses, both in the tournaments and the social games. The next tournament is at Brookside Golf Course, and the following one will be at De Bell Golf Course.

New members are always welcome. Prospective members do not have to be the best golfers, but they do need to have a basic understanding of the rules and etiquette of golf.

Prospective members need to play a round of golf with one or more members of the board of directors. The requirements for members are payment of dues and participation in two or more tournaments per year.
