What a week

      It's been an intense week of high school playoff action. Throughout local communities, on the basketball court, in the pool and on the soccer pitch, area teams have experienced triumph and heartbreak. Some seasons- high school careers, even- have ended, while others continue to live on.

Area wrestlers advance to Masters Meet
      The CIF Masters Meet is Friday and Saturday at Wilmer Carter High in Rialto, and many local wrestlers have qualified for the prestigious event. Royal High, which easily won the Marmonte League title, will send six of its grapplers to Masters.

Kurzeka opts for USC
      Agoura High's Peter Kurzeka, the 2007 Marmonte League boys' water polo Player of the Year, has accepted an offer to attend USC in the fall. Kurzeka led the Chargers to a CIF-Southern Section Division IV championship in November.
