Learn pet safety, rescue tips

The Conejo Recreation and Park District invites dog and cat lovers to learn more about their pets' health by taking a Petsaver class 1 to 5 p.m. Sat., Feb. 23 at Hillcrest Center, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks.

The class includes rescue breathing, choking management, wellness assessment, heat injuries, poisoning, bleeding protocols, bites and stings, dental care, injury assessment and caring for senior citizen pets.

The class costs $35 for residents, $42 for outofdistrict attendees.

Participants will receive a certificate and the 42-page Petsaver book upon successful completion

Pets are not allowed in the class.
