Oak Park Unified Schools to screen 'Two Angry Moms'

The Oak Park Unified School District's Wellness Council Film Series will present a showing of "Two Angry Moms" 7 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 21 at in room G-9 at Oak Park High School, 899 N. Kanan Road.

"Two Angry Moms" is a movie about the growing nationwide movement to improve school food programs. It chronicles what happens when two fedup moms take on the system and start a grassroots movement to rid school lunch programs of nutrientpoor, highsugar, processed foods.

The film explores the roles the government, schools and parents play in children's diets and the impact school lunch has on learning, behavior and health.

Attending the movie will be OPUSD's new food service director Laurel Goins, who will explain the changes in school lunches and answer questions.

Admission is free and open to the public.
