This play is a 'Beauty'

Oak Park High School invites the community to be their guests when "Beauty and The Beast" opens at 7 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 28 at the school Pavilion stage, 899 N. Kanan Road.

Other performances will be at 7 p.m. Fri. Feb. 29 and Sat., March 1, as well as a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday.

Children may also attend a "meet and greet" with the cast members after the Saturday matinee to get autographs and have their picture taken with Belle, the Beast, Mrs. Potts, Wardrobe, Lumiere, Gaston and Cogsworth.

Early reservations are suggested to get on the list for a free autograph book. Children must be accompanied by an adult and families should bring their own camera for photos.

The musical, based on the Disney animated film, is directed by drama department head Allan Hunt. OPHS choir director Heidi Cissell is the musical director and Traci Wilson provides the choreography.

Students in the cast include Kelli Kay, Sarah Baron, Andrew Karl, Emily Glickman, Kelsey Karl, Brock McKenzie, Michael Brightman, Sara Cofiell, Megan Cofiell, Ashley Couture, Lauren Arso, Rebecca Fondiler, Amber Janke, Julie Rothman, Nick Bral, Arya Roshanian, Chris Karl, Cathy Combs, Riley Litman, Cole Niemerow.

Show tickets are $20 premium seats/first four rows, $15 general admission, $10 students and seniors.
