S-O-K-A spells Heschel

I can understand Jess Thomas' frustration at the Heschel school approval which is planning to be dumped on Agoura Hills residents.

This site has obviously been chosen due to its relatively low cost in spite of the fact that other adequate sites in Agoura Hills and vicinity were available.

This school located as planned is a disaster waiting to happen. It has traffic problems. It has catastrophic fire possibilities, especially to Old Agoura residents.

I live in Calabasas and use this intersection (Chesebro/101 Freeway) quite frequently and believe it is one of the most difficult to navigate intersections on the 101 complex.

The planned Heschel school is for 750 students on 73 acres. Some years ago Zev Yaroslavsky brokered a similar project for 750 students on 588 acres at SOKA, which was denied by the courts. What a coincidence.

Zev, tell Heschel to relocate the school project in a more appropriate location. James Wrigley Vice president, Save Open Space
