Student tours

Music Travel and Tours was established in 1988 to promote the educational value of student travel. School groups often call upon the company's travel professionals to set up safe and cost-effective trips to a variety of locations.

The Westlake Village tour company is currently planning trips for three local high school bands and choirs.

On March 24, the 120-member Westlake High School Band will participate in a music extravaganza at Carnegie Hall in New York City. A string ensemble and wind ensemble will perform a three-hour concert for the public.

In April, Agoura and Calabasas high schools will travel to Nevada to take part in the Reno Jazz Festival. Last year, the festival attracted more than 9,000 participants and guests.

The city of Chicago will be the destination for Calabasas High School's musicians. The choir and band will be participating in a clinic at Northwestern University conducted by one of the school's music professors.
