Poizner visits United Chambers
More than 200 area business leaders attended the event at the Woodland Hills Hilton, including Assemblymember Cameron Smyth, who served as the master of ceremonies. Elected officials who attended included U.S. Rep. Brad Sherman, Assemblyman Lloyd Levine, Los Angeles City Councilmember Wendy Greuel, Los Angeles City Councilmember Dennis Zine, LAUSD Board Member Julie Korenstein, Calabasas City Councilmember Dennis Washburn, LAPD Deputy Chief Michel Moore and Former Assemblyman Keith Richman. Pamela Corradi, United Chambers chair, passed the gavel to the new chair Stephen T. Holzer, who belongs to the Woodland Hills/Tarzana and the Calabasas Chambers of Commerce and has served on the United Chambers' board of directors. Advanced training in manufacturing Larry Weber, President of The Sales Group, Inc. of Calabasas, has completed the second level of a threeyear executive education program to earn the designation Certified Professional Manufacturers' Representative (CPMR). Weber, who is also a member of the Hidden Hills City Council, will join over 1,600 other sales people across North America who have earned the designation. Manufacturers' representatives are independent entrepreneurs who sell the products of several manufacturers in a given territory. Next, Weber must attend three annual sessions of on-campus classes at Arizona State University and must pass a rigorous examination at the conclusion of each year's classes. |
