Pepperdine presents songwriter tribute

The Pepperdine University Center for the Arts presents "The Wonderful Wizard of Song: A Tribute to Harold Arlen" 8 p.m. tomorrow, Fri., Feb. 1 in the Smothers Theatre at Pepperdine University, 24255 Pacific Coast Hwy. in Malibu.

"The Wonderful Wizard of Song" is a multimedia tribute to composer Harold Arlen, who wrote such songs as "Over the Rainbow," "Stormy Weather," "I've Got the World on a String" and "That Old Black Magic."

The show features Arlen's son, saxophonist Sam Arlen, as well as George Bugatti's Three Crooners and a video performance by Tony Bennett.

Tickets cost $40 for the public and $10 for full-time Pepperdine students and can be purchased through Ticketmaster or the Pepperdine box office.
