Films on Uganda to screen

TPA Film Night will present two short films, "Hope Not Lost" and "Voices of Uganda," at 7:45 p.m. Fri., Feb. 1 at the Pine Tree Circle Center, 120 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd., Topanga.

For the past two summers, Melissa Fitzgerald of "The West Wing" has volunteered at refugee camps in Uganda, working with the International Medical Corps to help people displaced by the country's civil war. Fitzgerald returned to the U.S. with footage documenting life for people at the camps.

In addition to the film screening, actors will read monologues written by Ugandan teens describing their experiences in civil war.
