Speaker to discuss inclusion at special ed meeting
Topic is helping autistic children build better relationships

The Special Education Advisory Committee of the Oak Park Unified School District will host guest speaker Rick Clemens at the meeting on Tues., Feb. 12 in the Oak Park Library community room.

The committee will hold a general meeting from 6:30 to 7 p.m., with the presentation to follow from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Clemens is the founder/director of Inclusive Education and Community Partnership. He has been a classroom teacher, educational consultant, and a leader in including children with autism into the community.

He will share his insights on how to help children with many types of issues to build better relationships with peers.
