Four City Agreement helps our schools We would like to thank the city councils of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills and Westlake Village for their "Four City Agreement" to fund technical support staff who provide services on a daily basis at all of our school sites in the Las Virgenes School District. F P 4A - In the past, the district had a single full-time employee to handle technical support for all of the schools. Often teachers found themselves waiting weeks to receive the help they so urgently needed. Now the support staff trains our teachers to use new technological tools that can deliver curriculum in a more relevant and engaging manner, and provide our students with maximum educational benefits. With the ongoing crisis in state funding, and Governor Schwarzenegger's announcement that school budgets are being cut, it has become more important than ever for our cities and local communities to maintain the highest standards for our schools. This includes utilizing the newest technological tools available to equip our children to compete in the 21st century. Since the "Four City Agreement" is only a pilot program for the current school year, we hope that the cities of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills and Westlake Village vote to renew it to provide our children, teachers and school district with the support that is so vital to the success of our schools. We are grateful to live in the Las Virgenes School District and proud to be part of communities that pass bond measures and supply ongoing financial support so that our children can move forward and accomplish great things.
