Self-help movie focuses on healing

The Westlake Church of Religious Sciences will host a fundraising event to screen "You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie" at 7 p.m. tonight, Thurs., Jan. 17, at 880 Hampshire Road, Ste. 8.

"You Can Heal Your Life" is hosted by self-help author Louise L. Hay and directed by Emmy award-winner Michael Goorkian. The film looks into Hay's life story and her views on self-esteem, abundance and the metaphysical causes behind physical ailments.

Many other self-help and health and spirituality scholars appear in the film, including Doreen Virtue, Gregg Braden, Wayne W. Dyer, Gay Hendricks, Esther and Jerry Hicks, Leon Nascon, Dr. Christine Northrup, Dr. Candace B. Pert, Cheryl Richardson and Dr. Mona Lisa Schulz.

The film's music was composed by Grammy award-winner Jim Brickman.
