Flat Stanley to appear

Pepperdine University Center for the Arts presents IntraMusic Theatricals' production of "The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley" at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 19 at the Smothers Theatre at Pepperdine University, at 24255 Pacific Coast Hwy., Malibu.

"Flat Stanley" is based on the children's book series by Jeff Brown, in which a boy named Stanley Lambchop wakes up flattened one morning, and travels the world in an envelope looking for a solution to his unusual problem.

The show is produced by Stephen Gabriel, president of IntraMusic Theatricals, and the script was written by Tim McDonald, with music and lyrics by Bryan Louiselle, who recently adapted Disney's "High School Musical" for the stage.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children, and are available at the Pepperdine box office or through Ticketmaster. The show is recommended for ages four and up.
