A.E. Wright students make holiday brighter for others

A.E. Wright Middle School students reached out to seven families and hundreds of children through a toy drive and AdoptA-Family this holiday season.

Students worked hard to fill as many needs and wish lists as possible, collecting over 300 new toys for the Support for the Kids organization.

The school works with Support for the Kids throughout the year, collecting used clothing, books, bikes, car seats and other needed items.

Support for the Kids is a nonprofit organization that helps underprivileged and foster children in Ventura County.

Also participating in the Adopt-A-Family program were the Triunfo YMCA's Indian Guides, Princesses and Trailblazer groups, collecting nearly 200 gifts for low income families.

This was the first year the Triunfo YMCA participated in the Adopt-A-Family program. They plan on being part of it again, as well as donating Easter gifts in March.
