Tale of headstrong king who meets his match is set to music by Rodgers and Hammerstein

MEETING OF MINDS- Lori Lee Gordon (Anna) and Greg Quilop (the King) begin their romantic dance in the Conejo Players Production of "The King and I."
Conejo Players will begin their 50th anniversary season with "The King And I." Performances will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings with Sunday matinees Jan. 18 through Feb. 16 at the theater, 351 S. Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks.

The musical tells the tale of Anna Leonowens, an English schoolteacher who arrives in Siam to teach the children of King Mongut.
