Agoura High teacher to discuss her book

The Westlake Village Library will host author Nan Dean Cano, who will present her book "Acts of Light: Martha Graham in the 21st Century" at 2 p.m. Sun., Jan. 27 in the Henderson Room at the Westlake Village Civic Center, 31200 Oak Crest Drive.

No registration is required and the event is free.

Cano also will discuss her new work during Book Talk at the Agoura Hills Library at 6:30 p.m. Tues., Jan. 15.

"Acts of Light" features images from 18 of Martha Graham's ballets and discusses the narrative, dramatic and philosophical base for each dance.

Cano is a teacher at Agoura High School.
