Conejo Valley Audubon schedules activities for February Conejo Valley Audubon Society will have a meeting 7:30 p.m. Mon., Feb. 4 at the Western Foundation of Vertebrate Zoology, 439 Calle San Pablo in Camarillo. This month, Taldi Walter will present a slideshow showcasing some of the important natural areas and birds found in wild Alaska. She will also discuss the challenges facing the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Tongass National Forest, Chugach National Forest and National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska. Walter joined the National Audubon Society's Public Policy Office in Washington, D.C., as the Alaska Outreach Coordinator. For more information on the meeting, call (805) 987-2721. Upcoming Audubon Society birding field trips include: •8 a.m. Sat., Feb. 2: Meet at the entrance to Rustic Canyon. The group will meet at Rancho Park-and-Ride. Bring a jacket and flashlight.
