Burglars smashed a $300 car window and stole a backpack valued at $50 from a vehicle parked in the 29200 block of Roadside Drive on Dec. 19.

Someone smashed a car window and stole a car stereo, an iPod and bolt cutters from a vehicle parked in the 28500 block of Driver Avenue on Dec. 18. The loss was $670.

Thieves caused a small amount of damage as they tried to gain entry to a storage container at Lindero Canyon Middle School in the 5800 block of Larboard Lane on Dec. 14.

Vandals caused $700 in damages when they used golf balls to shatter the window of a home in the 30700 block of Whale Boat Place on Nov. 11.

Calabasas

Thieves stole a bag containing insurance papers, store shopping cards and an address book from a vehicle parked in front of the Albertsons supermarket on Agoura Road on Dec. 18. The culprits caused $400 in damage to the car, smashing a window and damaging the locking mechanism of the driver's door in order to gain entry.

Someone stole clothing valued at $2,000 while it was being washed in a common laundry room at an apartment complex in the 3800 block of Poppyseed Lane on Dec. 10.

Westlake Village

A thief stole a $2,500 laptop computer and its $50 case from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 30900 block of Catarina Drive on Dec. 13.
