Opportunity to make a difference

Dori Harrison Clements is the mother of a 16-year-old son with intercranial hypertension. Dori stepped forward to put words into action by recognizing that she wanted intercranial hypertension research to benefit her son and others suffering from this most painful, vision-threatening and disabling disorder.

Dori and her musical friends, especially Kevin and Mare Wachs of the Get Together Foundation, have already put together very successful concerts, the Friends Concerts in 2006 and July 2007.

They are seeking support for their next concert which will be Jan. 20 at The Canyon club in Agoura. All the musicians donated their efforts and funds raised have been contributed to our foundation, the Intercranial Hypertension Research Foundation (IHRF).

IHRF is a nonprofit public charity involved in promoting, encouraging and facilitating progress through research in the understanding and management of chronic primary and secondary intercranial hypertension. For patients, IHRF provides a support system, educational program and communication tools. For physicians and scientists, IHRF sponsors research in basic and clinical sciences, education, training and patient care programs in the U.S. and worldwide.

Dori is presently seeking donations for the silent auction, an important component of the evening's activities and an opportunity to signify to the large audience your organization's interest in supporting a worthy charitable cause. Your donations will help IHRF carry on its most important mission. Emanuel Tanne President, IHRF
