Thieves steal money intended for orphans

      Thieves have been stealing donations boxes belonging to The Orphan Foundation, a nonprofit group formed by Newbury Park residents Joe and Tatiana DiDonato to help orphans from the U.S. and around the world find permanent homes with loving families.

      The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will join law enforcement agencies across the state as part of California's Holiday DUI Crackdown Campaign through Jan. 1 DUI/driver's license checkpoints will be used to pull impaired drivers off the road as well as insuring drivers have a valid driver's license.
