Leonis Adobe Museum rings in the holidays
      The Leonis Adobe Museum in Old Town Calabasas has invited the public to attend its annual holiday open house and lighting ceremony. The event is from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sun., Dec. 7. There will be free admission and parking.

Local musician releases new album
      Music is a sacred means of expression for Agoura Hills resident Radha Botofasina, a world music artist who is preparing to release her latest project, a collection of classic African American folk songs. Botofasina, a vocalist who also plays the harp and piano, began her career in the mid-1970s as the leader of a jazz band in New York City.

Cantor Kenny rocks the house
      Cantor Kenny Ellis of Temple Beth Haverim in Agoura Hills will perform the songs from his CD "Hanukkah Swings!" live, with a 17-piece big band at 7 p.m. Sun., Dec. 14 at The Canyon club in Agoura Hills. The concert is in memory of musical arranger Harvey Cohen, the producer of the CD, who passed away of heart disease last year.

      Allied Artists of the Santa Monica Mountains and Seashore will host a paint-out from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sat., Dec. 13 at Soka/King Gillette Ranch, at Malibu Highway and Malibu Canyon/Las Virgenes Road.
