Nativity on display at St. Max
      The public is invited to view hundreds of nativities and manger scenes from around the world from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat. and Sun., Dec. 6 and 7 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 5801 N. Kanan Road, Westlake Village. Admission is a donation of $5 for adults and $1 for children. Proceeds will benefit the homeless of Ventura County.

Judaica Gift Shop opens at temple
      Temple Adat Elohim Sister Judaica Gift Shop will hold its annual boutique from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sun., Dec. 7 and 14 at the temple, 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. The boutique will include menorahs, dreidels, home decorations, candles, paper goods, gift wrap, hostess and teacher gifts, and jewelry.

St. Jude School prepares for Christmas
      St. Jude School's annual Advent Program will be held at 7 p.m. Thurs., Dec 18 in the church, 32032 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village. The celebration will have performances by each class, including a Nativity pageant performed by the eighth-grade students.

Church of the Epiphany hosts Advent lessons, carols
      The Church of the Epiphany (Episcopal) will present the Festival of Advent Lessons and Carols at 5 p.m. Sun., Dec. 7 at 5450 Churchwood Drive, Oak Park. All three church choirs will combine for the performance: the Epiphany Schola chamber choir, the 26-voice Parish Choir, and the Epiphany Choristers youth choir.

Children may join Christmas choir
      Church in the Canyon invites children of the community to participate in a Children's Christmas Choir, which will give a performance during the 9:30 a.m. Christmas service Sun., Dec. 21 at the church, 4235 Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas.
