Talk on veteran benefits

Senior Concerns will repeat its free seminar "Veterans' Benefits: Do You Know If You Are Eligible?" from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wed., Dec. 10 at Senior Concerns Adult Day Center, 401 Hodencamp Road, Thousand Oaks.

The event is a repeat of the workshop held on Nov. 11 and is available to those unable to obtain seating at the first seminar.

Col. George Compton (U.S. Army ret.), Ventura County veterans service office, will discuss with seniors and caregivers eligibility requirements, family and survivor benefits, veterans facilities and how V.A. benefits work with other insurances.

A question and answer time will follow the presentation.

The seminar is one of a series funded in part by a grant from the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging.

There is no charge for attendance, although donations to Senior Concerns will be accepted. Reservations are encouraged and walk-in registration will be based on available seating.

For more information or a reservation, call Senior Concerns at (805) 497-0189 by Mon., Dec. 9. A reservation with Terry Smith is required to arrange respite care for specialneed seniors.
