•The Las Virgenes Unified School District Board of Education cannot leave Terilyn Finders' board seat vacant for two years. The education code allows only for a four-month vacancy. Finders is resigning from the board this month halfway through her term and a replacement will have to be named.

•The Agoura Hills acquisition of land near Yerba Buena Elementary School adds 30 percent to the city's parkland inventory, not its open space inventory.
