Free workshop on college financing

National College Planners will hold a free workshop on getting money for college education from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 4 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library; 10:30 a.m. to noon Sat., Dec. 6 at the Newbury Park Library, and 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Mon., Dec. 8 at the Simi Valley Library.

Discussion topics include how to send children to the school of their dreams without going broke; how to triple one's eligibility for aid; how to find scholarships and grants, and how to avoid falling victim to scholarship scams.
