Thanks, teach

LVUSD teachers: ya' done good. As election mania was in full force, kids all over our community were discussing issues, understanding the process, and even doing "kid votes" in our schools. It's astounding to see how many kids not only understood many of the issues, but in many cases, understood them better than many adults. And these were kids of all ages, from elementary to high school.

Add to it that the kids actively took part in understanding how the electoral college votes, keeping up to date on issues and news surrounding the elections, and more. It allowed them to discuss topics with not only their families, but their peers. You paid great attention to detail, from covering both sides of the issues, all the way down to the stickers kids wore when they voted.

What a wonderful experience and gift you all have given them— the understanding and the opportunity to actively participate in the American experience. Congratulations on a job well done. Neil Ticktin Westlake Village
