Vandals caused $6,500 in damages when they backed a truck into the front gate at a home in the 30160 block of Mulholland Highway Oct. 30.

Calabasas

A thief stole a $200 portable navigation system, a $200 pair of prescription sunglasses and $10 in cash from a vehicle parked in the 23400 block of Park Sorrento Oct. 31.

Someone stole a $350 cellphone from an undisclosed location in the 22850 block of Mulholland Highway Oct. 29.

A thief stole a gym bag and a purse containing a driver's license, credit cards, a cellphone and cosmetics from a vehicle parked in the 5700 block of Las Virgenes Road Oct. 24. The loss was about $600. The culprits made unauthorized purchases following the incident.

A resident in the 5700 block of Las Virgenes Road reported that a person threw a rock though her bathroom window on Oct. 10. Damages were estimated at $60. There were no injuries.

Someone stole a badge and two lapel emblems belonging to a captain of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The theft occurred between Aug. 11 and Oct. 17 in the 5200 block of Las Virgenes Road. The loss was $140.

Oak Park

A male, 18, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at 12:40 a.m. Nov. 1 in the 900 block of Ellesmere Avenue.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for battery at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in the first block of Smoketree Avenue.

Property was stolen from a home between Aug. 8 and Oct. 4 in the 5000 block of Jacobs Court. The crime was recently reported.

Westlake Village

A thief stole a purse, bank cards and sunglasses with a total value of about $500 during a vehicle break-in Nov. 2 in the 5600 block of Lindero Canyon Road. There were also $250 in damages.

A resident reported Oct. 28 that several individuals in an vehicle parked at the edge of his driveway had opened the garage door of his home in the 31700 block of Dunraven Court. The individuals left the scene when they were confronted by the resident.
