Meet the author

The New JCC at Milken will present a Meet the Author evening on Wed., Nov. 19 at 22622 Vanowen St., West Hills.

Mary Mustard Reed will discuss her book "Oceans Apart: A Voyage of International Adoption." In it, Reed discusses her life, including a nearfatal bout of smallpox, her abusive childhood with an American family and a reunion with her mother after three decades.

Reed is an author, child rights advocate and member of a volunteer medical team working with organizations in Orange County and Vietnam.
