Agoura Hills crime recounted The father of a man serving a life sentence for first-degree murder in the death of an Agoura Hills teen will speak at the next Reel Justice Documentary Series at 5:30 p.m. Tues., Nov. 18 in the Student Union Building at California Lutheran University. The 2007 film "Reckless Indifference" will be shown. The film, directed by William Gazecki, tells the story of a teen backyard brawl that resulted in the 1995 death of the son of a Los Angeles Police Department officer. One of the Conejo Valley youths wielded a pocketknife to protect his younger brother and confessed to his crime. But all four of the attackers, including Brandon Hein, were sent to prison for life without parole. Afterwards, Gene Hein, father of Brandon Hein, will sit on a panel to discuss the movie.
