Oaks Christian's Molyneux, Liu of AHS advance at golf tourney
Westlake trio comes up short
A pair of local high school student-athletes have advanced to today's CIF-Southern Section Girls' Golf Finals at Mountain Meadow Golf Course in Pomona. Oaks Christian junior Remy Molyneux and Agoura High junior Katherine Liu both posted scores of 76 at Monday's CIF-SS Northern Individual Regional at Soule Park Golf Course in Ojai to move on to the finals. Today's action in Pomona is scheduled to get underway at 7:30 a.m. Molyneux is making her second consecutive trip to the section finals, while Liu will be a first-time competitor. Westlake had three golfers in the field on Monday—Charlotte Gibson (86), Liz Cornelison (87) and Tiffany Uichanco (89)—but none of the Warriors advanced. La Reina's Brenna Callero shot a 91 and did not qualify. The CIF-SS Northern Team Divisional will take place Monday at River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard. A shotgun start is slated to begin at 8 a.m. |
