Round Meadow Elementary School in Hidden Hills joined in the 58th anniversary of Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF last week by distributing more than 500 trick or treat boxes to local children.
The campaign encourages American children to make Halloween count by helping other children around the world.
Since its inception, Trickor-Treat for UNICEF has raised more than $140 million.
"These boxes will help raise awareness and funds for UNICEF while Round Meadow students are trickortreating on Friday. This is a great way for our children to see that helping other children who are less fortunate can be fun," said Rick Levy, a spokesperson.
