Bad luck

I have utmost respect for the Agoura Animal Shelter and all of the wonderful work they do to save the lives of animals. I usually enjoy seeing the "Pet of the Week" and reading the brief description about them.

However, I was shocked and disappointed to see a black cat with a Halloweenlike expression offered for adoption two weeks before Halloween.

Common sense, and, I thought, a common policy for animal adoption agencies, would dictate that this would not be the animal chosen for this nor any other October edition of The Acorn.

While it is too late to correct this error in judgment this time, care should be taken that it not occur again. Sherry Ferber Agoura Hills
