Rhode Island student seeks help

Dear Acorn readers,

I am writing to you from the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island. I am a seventh-grade student at Goff Junior High School in Pawtucket, R.I. In my geography class we are writing a semesterlong project, and we are responsible for creating an oral and a written presentation and a poster on a particular U.S. state.

The state I chose to do is California. Could you please publish this letter in your paper so that your readers could help me with my project? The information would help me because where you guys are at you must know so many things about California and history. It will help me so much because you guys write many stories about California. It can also teach me stuff, too.

If your readers could send me some information, pictures or tourist information it would be a big help. Please send the information to my school. Thank you for your help with my report and project.

Submitted by Taylor Duarte of Mr. Gilmore's third period class at Goff Junior High School, 974 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02861.
