Deputies found a container of marijuana and a stolen cellphone when they stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Trail Creek and Forest Cove Oct. 20.

A thief stole two political signs valued at $20 from the front yard of a home in the 30400 block of Sandtrapp Road Oct. 18. The signs were in support of Obama and against Proposition 8.

Vandals caused $250 in damages when they spray-painted walls in the 5300 block of Chesebro Road Oct. 17.

Someone stole two laptop computers, some cash and a digital camera from a home in the 5900 block of Caren Avenue Oct. 16. The loss was $3,700.

A thief stole a video game console, a digital camcorder, digital photo camera and a laptop computer from a home in the 27800 block of Calle Margarita Oct. 15. The loss was $2,500.

A person stole a $300 iPod plus accessories from a car parked in the 29400 block of Canterbridge Court Oct. 12.

Someone caused $350 in damages to a vehicle parked in the 6100 block of Rustling Oaks Drive Oct. 11.

A thief stole $4,300 worth of equipment from a business in the 5010 block of Chesebro Road Oct. 9.

A burglar stole a $550 watch from a home in the 28800 block of Garnet Hill Court Oct. 6.

Calabasas

A resident in the 5000 block of Las Virgenes Road reported that she was the victim of a hate incident. Someone placed a belt fashioned into a noose at the entrance of the victim's residence on either Oct. 21 or Oct. 22.

Vandals caused $250 in damages to a vehicle parked in the 4000 block of Las Virgenes Road Oct. 19.

A thief stole an MP3 player valued at $150 and a $50 bottle of cologne from a home in the 3800 block of Lupine Lane Oct. 18.

Someone stole a $25 mailbox from the front of a home in the 22500 block of Jameson Drive Oct. 18.

A thief stole snake-catching equipment worth $1,600 from the rear of a vehicle parked in the 5000 block of Las Virgenes Road Oct. 17.

A person stole $100 in cash and bank cards from a house in the 23100 block of Park Terrace Oct. 17.

Hidden Hills

Vandals caused $2,000 in damages to a vehicle parked on in the 24900 block of Kit Carson Road Oct. 14.

A burglar stole a $3,600 television set and about $5,000 worth of furniture from the living room of a home in the 5600 block of Hoback Glenn Road. The home is for sale and was unoccupied when the theft occurred between Oct. 2 and 15.
