Hyatt renovation underway

Hyatt Westlake Plaza in Thousand Oaks recently began a $1.2million renovation of the hotel's meeting space, VIP suites, lobby and front desk. The renovation will be completed by January 2009.

The renovation compliments the recent $4.5 million invested to completely revamp all of the 262 guest rooms and corridors, bathrooms, suites and the Grand Plaza Ballroom.

The lobby will be redone to include new tile, lighting, furniture and modern artwork, along with a new front desk design, offering guests the opportunity to check in via two self-check-in "pods" for ease and efficiency.

All four breakout rooms of the meeting space will feature stateoftheart audio/visual capabilities, new carpet, wall coverings and artwork, along with a new ceiling and lighting. The two smaller boardrooms will feature new executive tables, new carpet, wall coverings and artwork.

The two VIP suites will undergo a complete renovation to included furniture, carpet, bedding and high-end amenities.
