Diabetic children walk together to raise funds for research
      Quinny's Quest, Brayden's Boosters, Team Michelle and Benjamin's Buddies were just a few of the groups that walked several miles through Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills last Sunday to raise money for diabetes research.

Dinner to benefit victims of domestic violence
      Haven Hills will hold its 31st anniversary dinner at 6 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 30 at the Warner Center Marriott, 21850 Oxnard St., Woodland Hills. Proceeds will benefit victims of domestic violence in the community. Registration and silent auction will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. followed by dinner and entertainment.

Salon cancer fundraiser
      Jeffrey Stevens Salon will host its inaugural fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness Month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sun., Oct. 26 at 2963 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks. The stylists will be donating their time and proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. Women's haircuts will be $20, men's haircuts $15 and eyebrow wax $10.Walk-ins are welcomed.
