Harvest Festival scheduled

The Church in the Canyon will host a Family Harvest Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Fri., Oct. 31 at the church, 4235 Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas. The community is invited.

The festival includes a free dinner of homemade chili or hot dogs, children's games, candy and an optional costume parade.

The pastor will give a short talk to the children on "What to do when they are afraid."

Families who are able may bring one or more canned goods per family to donate to the Valley Food Bank as the admission cost.

Guests are asked not to wear scary costumes.
