Harvest Festival scheduled
      The Church in the Canyon will host a Family Harvest Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Fri., Oct. 31 at the church, 4235 Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas. The community is invited. The festival includes a free dinner of homemade chili or hot dogs, children's games, candy and an optional costume parade.

      Heschel West Day School will celebrate its National Blue Ribbon Award at its Mitzvah Day/Blue Ribbon Celebration from 9 a.m. to noon Sun., Nov. 2 at the school, 27400 Canwood St., Agoura. Mitzvah Day is a community-wide service day organized by the Jewish Federation.
