Nader's Sound of Music

Bernadette Nader, an established music instructor in Westlake Village, is accepting new students.

Nader operates a music studio and teaches piano and voice to students ages 7 to adult. She has performed as a pianist in concerts and as an accompanist for singers in New York opera companies.

Nader began her career in the American Community School in Beirut, Lebanon where she taught music from K-12 and directed a choral group at American University in Beirut.

She continued teaching music classes and directing choral groups in Boston for several years. After post graduate studies in choral conducting at Harvard University, Nader moved to San Francisco to further her career teaching piano and voice, becoming an organist and choir director.

Her journey continued in New York where Lazo studied instrumental conducting at Juilliard and directed church choirs and the Festival Chorus in Yorktown Heights.

Since moving to Conejo Valley in 1982, she's continued to enjoy teaching, conducting choirs and directing youth musicals.

Nader's latest project is the arrangement of 15 sessions of music appreciation, music history and participation designed for seniors. Participants enjoy the classes, which are called "Sing Along Through the Decades."
