Students have island fun

YOUNG EXPLORERS—Cindy Stephen's fifth-grade class from Brookside Elementary School listens as a guide describes how to capture plankton like a professional scientist. The class traveled to Santa Cruz Island in September to learn about its rich variety of flora, fauna, ocean life and geology.
