At the bistro

The Agoura/Oak Park/Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a Halloween reception from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wed.,Oct. 29 at the Riviera Wine Bistro at 23685 Calabasas Road in Calabasas.

Special guest will be the chief financial officer for the city of Calabasas, Gary Lysik.

Kitchen tours

The Central Coast and Valleys chapters of the National Kitchen and Bath Association will host the third annual Tour of Kitchens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sun., Oct. 19.

The event is a self-guided tour of nine recently remodeled homes in Agoura Hills, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Ventura.

Guests may visit as many of the homes as they choose. The homes, built in the 1950s through 1980s, showcase a variety of sizes, styles, materials and floor plans.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 day of tour. A portion of the proceeds will benefit HomeAid of Los Angles/Ventura, which provides housing for temporarily homeless individuals.
