Goosen to lead CHS girls' hoops team

There's a new coach in charge of the Calabasas High girls' basketball squad.

David Goosen, who previously coached the boys' teams at Venice, Burbank and Reseda high schools, was hired last week. He replaces Don Cusick.

CHS was 9-18 overall and 0-14 in league last season.

Goosen has a history of turning struggling programs around.

"The girls see that I've been there and done that before," he said. "So far they're willing to trust in me and work hard."
