Teacher a fast learner at Pt. Magu
      ACCOMPLISHMENT— Gina Cormier, a Calabasas resident who teaches fifth grade at Our Lady of Malibu School, celebrates after coming in sixth out of 80 runners in the women's division of the 18K race in the XTerra Pt. Mugu Trail Run on Sept. 28. Cormier's time was 1 hour, 41 minutes and 23.1 seconds.

Westlake school plants tree memorial for teacher who died of cancer
      IN MEMORY— Enriching Hour Preschool students and their families gather under an old oak tree with friends and family of Kim Bradley during a dedication ceremony at Berniece Bennett Park in Westlake Village on Oct. 1. Bradley was a teacher at the preschool for seven years before she died of ovarian cancer in May. The group planted a sycamore tree in her honor.
