Pumpkin Festival heralds the harvest
HAVING A GOURD TIME—The annual Calabasas Pumpkin Festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat. and Sun., Oct. 18 and 19 at Juan Batista de Anza Park. The Calabasas Pumpkin Festival will provide two days of family fun from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat. and Sun., Oct. 18 and 19 at Juan Bautista De Anza Park, 3701 Lost Hills Road, Calabasas.
Admission and parking are free and shuttle service will be available.
The event is presented by the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce, the city of Calabasas and the Calabasas Arts Council.
Activities include low cost inflatable rides, free carnival games, pinewood derby race, mummy wrap contests, pumpkin pie eating contests, live entertainment, reptiles and amphibians, pumpkin carving demos, children's arts and crafts, pumpkin seed spitting contests, car show, food, beer garden, craft marketplace, business district and fun zone.
Participants may also pick their own pumpkin from The Pumpkin Patch. Prices start at 50 cents.
