Financial aid workshops prep parents for college costs

Workshops on how to obtain financial aid for college will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 18 at the Newbury Park Library, 2331 Borchard Road; and Thurs., Oct. 23 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road.

The workshop is hosted by National College Planners.

The seeions will cover how to send students to school without going broke, how to double eligibility for financial aid, finding scholarships and grants, how to pick a college with good financial aid packages and filling out financial aid applications accurately and on time.
