Ventura Harvest Festival this weekend

The Ventura Harvest Festival is scheduled for Fri. to Sun., Oct. 3 through 5 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 W. Harbor Blvd., Ventura. The event will benefit the Ventura County Humane Society.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The festival will include thousands of hand crafted items for sale, pumpkin patch, eclectic music line up and puppet shows. Artisans from across the country showcase jewelry, clothing, gourmet food products, toys, pottery, home decor and more.

Attendees will have the opportunity to win a 58 x 69-inch orange and black quilt made by Beverly Hansen. Raffle tickets for the quilt are $1. The drawing will be held on Sun., Oct. 5 and the winner need not be present.

Admission is $9 adults, $7 seniors age 62 and up, $4 youth age 13 to 17, and children 12 and under are free. Tickets are valid for re-entry all weekend.
