Regenerate Films to screen feature movie

Regenerate Films will host a fundraiser with the screening of a nearly completed feature film "My Suicide: A Self Inflicted Comedy" at 6 p.m. Sat., Oct. 4 at Scherr Forum Theatre, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

The movie is hosted by Mariel Hemingway and features the music of Radiohead, My Morning Jacket, Bright Eyes and others.

The event will include a discussion with the film's director and stars, hors d'oeuvres, a no host bar, and a silent auction with such items as vacation packages, Epiphone guitar, fine art photography and an ancient Tibetan Buddhist panel.

The screening will benefit Regenerate, a Thousand Oaksbased nonprofit dedicated to reducing teen injuries and fatalities due to car crashes, suicide and violence.

Assigned seating is $20 and $100, with a $2.50 service charge per order. Seating is assigned first come, first served and all sales are final.
