At the Library

The Calabasas Library announces its upcoming events.

•A reading program for children in kindergarten through third grade will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 11 a.m., Sat., Oct. 4. Each child will be given 15 minutes to read to a therapy dog.

•An anime movie for teens will be screened in the library meeting room at 2 p.m. Sat., Oct. 11. Refreshments will be served. The movie is rated PG-13 and no one under 12 will be admitted.

•Ellen Pangarliotas from the League of Women Voters will give an analysis of the propositions on the November ballot at 7 p.m. Tues., Oct. 14.

•Stephen Burleigh of College Pathways will give a presentation on the basics of getting into college at 1 p.m. Sun., Oct. 19. A question and answer period will follow the presentation.

•Actress Adrienne Barbeau will sign her new book "Vampyres of Hollywood," at 7 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 30. She will speak about the book before the signing. Books will be available for purchase and refreshments will be served.
